On the NFL's elite...

Chris: I wish the NFL would make an Elite division in each conference. Dallas, San Francisco, Green Bay, and... I don't know team #4 yet. But an Elite division, just to force more games against the elite teams.

Alex: I guess the rep from the NFC South would have to be Tampa?

Chris
: I say there should be the possibility that a division might not send a rep.

Alex
: Man, what a historically bad division. Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans...

Chris
: Carolina did more in its second year than the Saints had, ever, by that point. And at the time, Tampa and Atlanta too.

Alex
: Yeah. So I guess by default Carolina.

Chris
: Is there anyone else to send from the other three divisions? We don't have to have an NFC South team if they're not good enough. Or we could just have 2 more bye weeks.

Alex
: The Giants have 3 Super Bowls. They would be the best bet.

Alex: And then, AFC Elite... Buffalo, Miami.

Chris
: Pittsburgh, Miami, Colts, Broncos? Raiders?

Alex
: Steelers and Raiders, I'd say. Broncos are close. And I'm putting Buffalo in for sustained 2nd place.

Chris
: Haha. I'd put Buffalo in place of the Colts. And we both keep Miami to round out the four. Take that, Boston.

Alex
: Yeah, you can't argue with an undefeated Super Bowl.

Chris
: Nope, perfect season.

Alex
: I'm so glad we can actually say this with a semi-straight face.

Chris
: Well, maybe don't lose a single game in the season, New England, and you could get in with a few more decades of competitive football.

On New England— dynasty?...

Alex: Yeah, and thinking about it... New England is not a dynasty. They barely won 3 Super Bowls and cheated to get there. We HANDILY won our 3. And if Jimmy doesn't quit, it's 4-5 Super Bowls.

Chris
: AND the Patriots missed the playoffs in between

Alex
: Pittsburgh won a solid 4 in the 60's, and 5th this decade.

Chris
: New England won by three or lost by three in each of their Super Bowls this decade. Emphasis on 18-1.

Alex
: Haha. Yeah, not a dynasty. Just lucky.

Chris
: I mean, they were still good— they're not the Cardinals.
---

Alex: So they won 3 of 4 by a net 6 points. We one 1 of 1 technically by 35. Should be more if Leon Lett isn't Leon Lett. And we were 3 of 3 by, let's see... 35, plus the difference of the second one?

Chris
: 17 points, and then 10 points in the third.

Alex
: So we won 3 by a net 62 points vs. winning 3 by a net 6 points.
